  3. READY    OPUS(tm)   has  been designed to take into  account  the  nearly
  4. TO       limitless  variety   of  hardware/software  combinations  it  is
  5. GO       likely to encounter.     Although OPUS(tm)  itself was  designed
  6.          around   the   IBM hardware structure,  it  is  accessible  from
  7.          nearly  any  combination  of  hardware  and  software  currently
  8.          available.   You will  find there  are very minimal requirements
  9.          needed to use OPUS(tm) and  its varied services.

  13. HARDWARE                       Hardware and Software

  16.          On the hardware side, nearly anything will do. A PC is fine.  So
  17.          is   a   dumb   terminal of just about any   variety.      Since
  18.          OPUS(tm)   supports ANSI color graphics as an option,  you  will
  19.          find  it more fun to use hardware which will also  support  this
  20.          capability.

  25.          A good communications software package is a must for any serious
  26.          "BBsing".    Fortunately  there  are a number of  good  programs
  27.          available both commercially and in the Public Domain.  Among the
  28.          better software we have used is PROCOMM,  PIBTERM,  and  QMODEM.  
  29.          These can  be  found on  most   Bulletin  Boards or   from  many  
  30.          User's   Groups.    Each works extremely well with  the  various 
  31.          OPUS(tm) file transfer protocols.

  38. WHAT     By  now we hope you have a good general feeling about  OPUS(tm).

  45.          limitless   inventory  of  Public  Domain  software,  you   will
  46.          find OPUS(tm) both powerful and sophisticated.
